RAW opened up with footage of Triple H placing the bounty on Goldberg's head and last week, Batista made his return to take out Bill Goldberg to earn the $100,000 dollars that Triple H placed on Goldberg's head.
The fireworks went off in the arena for the start of WWE RAW and Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler kicked the show off on commentary, pointing out that a steel cage was hanging high above the ring and they begged the question; why is it there?
Evolution's music hit in the arena and Ric Flair, Randy Orton and Batista, collectively known as Evolution made their way out to the ring, minus their leader, Triple H. Ric Flair took the mic and said that everybody's waiting to see Goldberg tonight, huh? Well if you were, forget about it because it's not going to happen. You know why? Because last week Goldberg was eliminated! And you know who did that? Batista! Batista grabbed the mic and he said he doesn't want Goldberg to think of his beating as a negative, he wants him to think of it as kind of an honor.
It was an honor that the man Triple H wanted him taken out. All that meant was that Triple H is impressed with him, but as good as Goldberg is, Batista is that much better. When Triple H put that bounty on Goldberg, Batista knew he'd be the one to collect on it. Two weeks ago in the parking lot, all the crates flying around everywhere, that was Batista. Batista wanted to make Goldberg paranoid and vulnerable. He wanted to make him an easy target and he was. It was easy for Batista to slide on in there, beat Goldberg down and put him out of this business for good! Randy Orton took the mic and said now it's time to get back to business. More specifically, the Championship. Does it go back around Goldberg's waist? It can't because he got taken out. Who does the title go to? Randy took a second to think about it and he said call him crazy but in all fairness, the Championship should go back to the previous Champion, Triple H.
Eric Bischoff's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring carrying an item in a black bag and he didn't look to be in too good of a mood. Eric Bischoff angrily took the mic and asked them if they had any idea what they've done? Taking out Goldberg, the Champion of the World? The man who Bischoff depends upon to defend that title all over this planet?! Do they have any idea what they've done to Eric Bischoff? They've made him the happiest man on the planet!
Normally, he'd be furious about something like this but come on, after Bischoff extended his hand in friendship, he spears Bischoff right in this ring? Well you know what, screw Bill Goldberg and screw all the fans. Eric Bischoff has something here that Goldberg kind of left at ringside while he was being helped up the ramp with that shattered ankle. And hey, that whole 30 day rule where he has to defend the title, hell with that, we know that isn't going to happen. So Bischoff knows Goldberg is watching, so watch very closely... Bischoff pulled the World Heavyweight Title out of the bag and he said that this was Goldberg's title. He says was because it's no longer his. As Co General Manager, Bischoff wishes to present this World Championship to a man who deserves it more than anybody...
Stone Cold Steve Austin's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring as the other Co General Manager of RAW! Austin got in the mic and he picked up the bag Bischoff had, telling him that he thinks he left something in that bag. Austin stuck his arm in the bag and went through it and pulled out his hand, giving Bischoff the middle finger, saying he left that in the bag. The bottom line is that Eric Bischoff can't strip Bill Goldberg of the title. Why not? Because Austin talked to Goldberg over the weekend and he says he doesn't care how messed up his ankle is that the son of a bitch is coming back.
Austin doesn't know how or when, but all he knows is that he's pissed off, he wants revenge so Austin booked him in a match at Survivor Series against Triple H for the World Heavyweight Title! Ric Flair angrily took the mic, telling Austin that he can't do that. What if he can never walk again? What if he could never wrestle again? Austin can't do that! Austin looked at Flair like he was nuts and then he told him to settle down before he blows his pacemaker. If the man ain't 100%, it'll be a short night for Triple H, huh? Goldberg is going to be at Survivor Series and he will face Triple H for the World Title and that's the bottom line because Stone Cold said so!
Stone Cold got out of the ring and made his way up the ramp but Batista took the mic, saying to cut the music. Batista told Austin that he took care of Goldberg last week. Now Austin comes out here and runs his mouth, embarrassing the Evolution? If Batista didn't know better, he'd think Austin was looking for some physical provocation. But like his buddy Goldberg says, "you're next." Stone Cold got close to Batista on the stage and as the two had a stare down, Mark Jindrak and Garrison Cade stormed to the ring and jumped Ric Flair and Randy Orton and got in a couple cheap shots and then the duo left through the crowd as Orton and Flair got up, pissed off in the ring.
Trish Stratus was shown in the backstage area on the phone and Lita showed up and Trish hung up the phone because she was checking her messages. Lita asked her if she got any good messages? Trish said her mom called and she got a couple others.
Lita said Chris Jericho called, didn't he? Trish said that he did. He was wishing her luck for tonight, it's kinda nice. Lita said that she's known Chris Jericho and Christian for a while and she feels they're up to something. Lita said that she'd go and see if she can find anything out.
Booker T vs. Rico
Booker T's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring for a one on one match against Rico, who was already at ringside.
As Booker T got in the ring, Jackie Gayda grabbed Booker T by the ankle and that gave Rico the opportunity to attack Booker T from behind.
Rico went for a roundhouse but Booker caught Rico in the Bookend position but Rico got out of it.
Moments later, Booker T nailed Rico with the scissors kick and a pin for the three count to get the win.
Booker T celebrated his win in the ring and Jim Ross noted that he's the only member of Stone Cold's team right now. Booker got ready to do the spinaroonie and Chris Jericho's music hit and he told Booker enough of this break dancing crap! People don't pay to see him break dancing, they pay to see Chris Jericho. They pay to see an impromptu Highlight Reel with a guest like Booker T. Chris said that he's only got one question for him; how can you be so stupid? How can he be so stupid to align himself with Stone Cold's regime as the Co General Manager of RAW by joining his team at Survivor Series? It's a stupid move and by the way, before Chris allows him to retort, he's got some other friends in the back who are also on Bischoff's team at Survivor Series, including one new member who is very interested in what Booker T has to say. So without further adieu, here is Team Bischoff. Christian and Scott Steiner made their way out to the ring and Chris Jericho told the guys in the back to lower the cage. Having said that, Booker T nailed Chris Jericho with a hard right hand and then Steiner and Christian got in the ring and the three triple teamed Booker T until Rob Van Dam stormed to the ring with a steel chair in hand. RVD used the chair to clear the ring of Jericho, Christian and Steiner.
RVD took the mic, saying that Bischoff's team isn't thee only one with a new member. Steve Austin's team has a new member too and his name is Rob Van Dam!
Eric Bischoff was shown with Chris Jericho and Chris was complaining about Rob Van Dam. Eric said that they're about ready to drop the cage and send a message to Stone Cold and anybody else that wanted to be a part of his team but they didn't get the message sent. Chris asked Eric if Van Dam has rocks in his head? Calm down... if they want to send a message to Stone Cold Steve Austin, here's how; give Chris Jericho an Intercontinental Championship match against RVD tonight. When he's done with RVD, the message will be sent loud and clear. Eric Bischoff told Chris Jericho to send that message, loud and clear.
Mark Henry vs. Lance Storm
Mark Henry's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring for a one on one match against Lance Storm. Theodore Long took the mic and said to cut the music. This past Monday night, Mark Henry was right here in that ring and Mark Henry is a little angry tonight. Real angry and the reason why is because last week, that cracker snake Stone Cold Steve Austin cost Theodore Long and Mark Henry 100,000 dollars. Now having them thrown from the building before the job was finished on Bill Goldberg. So you see, Mark Henry has to take his anger out on any Stone Cold loving white boy that he has to face out here tonight.
As soon as Lance Storm got in the ring, Mark Henry nailed him with a clubbing right hand to knock him down to the mat and then he continued to hammer away on him while he was down on the mat.
As Mark Henry was dominating Lance Storm, Shawn Michaels made his way out to the ring and laid Mark Henry out with a super kick, ending the match in a quick disqualification.
John Heidenreich was shown backstage and tonight, he's getting a tryout match with the Hurricane as his partner. John said that it means the world to him and Little Johnny. Roosevelt showed up and took a picture of John and the Hurricane.
The Hurricane said that John's son Little Johnny has to be proud and John said that he isn't his son. John whispered something into the Hurricane's ear and the Hurricane looked shocked and told Roosevelt that people call the Hurricane crazy for wearing a cape, but that guy is off his rocker.
Lita was shown and she confronted Christian and asked him what the idea was behind him saving her last week? Christian said that he was reading through her book and he came across the picture of he and Lita together. It's not common knowledge that they were friends, but it's in her book so why hide it anymore? Lita said that he might be getting the wrong idea. That was a long time ago, even though there was history. Lita then said that she's got a match and she has to get ready and Christian wished her luck.
Shane McMahon was shown getting ready for his No Disqualification match tonight and The Coach showed up and asked Shane if he's given any thought as to who his opponent is? Coach said that he has and for Shane's sake, he hopes it's not Kane. Shane told Coach that he hopes it is Kane and then he left the room.
John Heidenreich and the Hurricane vs. La Resistance
The Hurricane's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring along with John Heidenreich for a tag team match against the combination of Rob Conway and Rene Dupree, known as La Resistance.
The Hurricane took his mask off, only to reveal he had another one on and he was about to get out of the ring and give it to a fan but Rob Conway attacked the Hurricane from behind and then he backed the Hurricane into the corner and hammered away on him.
The Hurricane went for a choke slam but Rene Dupree countered it and then the Hurricane gave Rene a DDT and then he finally made the tag to big John.
John nailed Rob Conway with a bicycle kick and then he pinned him but only got a two count as Rene Dupree got in the ring and interrupted it.
John Heidenreich used a version of the Rock Bottom on Rene Dupree and then he pinned him for the three count to get the win.
John and the Hurricane celebrated their win in and out of the ring, even with the armed forces seen in the front row of the crowd.
John eventually got back in the ring and Rene Dupree went to hit John with the French flag but John ducked it and planted him with his version of the rock bottom.
No Disqualification Match - Shane McMahon vs. Test
Shane McMahon's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring, scheduled for a one on one match against a mystery opponent. Test's music hit and he made his way out to the ring on a crutch along with Stacy Keibler. Test sent Stacy out of the ring before she could get in and then he took the mic. Test said that Shane is probably wondering what he's doing out here in the condition that Shane actually put him in. Thanks to Shane, Test won't be wrestling for a little while but he'll get over it. But tonight, he gets the very honor of introducing Shane's mystery opponent, so lets bring him on down! Your mystery opponent for tonight... is me!
Test whipped the crutch at Shane but Shane ducked it and gave Test some rights and lefts and then he stomped on his foot and clotheslined him down to the mat.
Test slid out of the ring and he motioned for someone to come down to the ring, seemingly Kane but no one came out.
Several times during the brawl on the outside of the ring, you could hear Test saying "come on, Kane!"
Shane set Test up for his version of the Van Terminator but Kane's pyro went off and that distracted McMahon. Despite the fact that Test continuously called for Kane, he never came out.
Test went for a pump handle slam on Shane but Shane countered it into a DDT, driving Test's head into the steel trash can.
Shane eventually nailed Test with his version of the Van Terminator and then he pinned him to get the three count over Test.
Shane took the mic and asked where Kane is at? He knows this is a set up. Kane is the one who started this. He is the one who made it personal. Shane asked Kane if he's gutless? Is he afraid that Shane has another limo in the back ready to take him straight to hell? Is he having second thoughts? Because he should. Shane told Kane to show his face, but he got no response. Shane said that if Kane isn't going to come out here, he's got a little demonstration for him. Maybe this will get his attention; Shane got out of the ring and pulled Test out and put his leg on the steel steps and then he slammed the steel chair right into Test's foot! Kane finally made his way out and he stopped on the ramp but Shane told him not to stop there. Let's do it right now. Kane said something, but he didn't have a mic so we couldn't hear him. Shane said what's stopping Kane is fear. Shane can see it in his eyes. Kane is afraid that he has pushed Shane over the edge. He's afraid of the fact that Shane is the one man who can get as sick and twisted as Kane. And at Survivor Series, it's going to get sick and Shane guarantees this; one if them is going to the hospital. Because as of right now, Shane is challenging Kane at Survivor Series to an Ambulance Match. Kane nodded his head and then he set off his pyro in the ring around Shane in an attempt to send fright down his spine.

Trish went for the Stratusfaction on Victoria but Steven Richards interrupted it by pulling Trish to the outside of the ring.
Lita went for the Twist of Fate on Victoria but Gail Kim interrupted it and the two double teamed Lita.
Victoria planted Lita with the Widow's Peak and then she pinned her but only got a two count as Gail Kim gave Victoria a hard kick to the head to break up the pin.
