Concerning Europe I can only say that I can't think of another continent with so many amazing places and cities full of endless opportunities. In my opinion one of the best places I can imagine.
First of all the EU generated some kind of a European feeling within many who live here and relationships between European countries are better than ever. There are many arguments supporting the decision that all those ten countries will join the EU next year and just as many who critisize it. Thats why I think best is to wait and see and try to make the best out of it because there will be advantages as well as disadvantages coming along with it.
Concerning the Euro I have to say that it definitely strenghened the European economy and its importance in the world even tho I think that countries like England, Denmark and Sweden should also join the monetary Alliance and accept the Euro as their currency because its only counterproductive to have valueable members who dont fully support the Union they decided to join.
All in all I think the EU made Europe stronger than ever and made the countries in Europe work together more than they ever did before. I am glad my country (Austria) decided to join the EU in 1995 and so far I have mostly noticed advantages coming along with it |
I think so too, and yes it is ironic that some countries dont fully support the union they CHOSE to be a member of..... However, I do think nations have to have freedom of choice and should conduct national referendums concerning that question! (Sweeden did BTW and the nation oppsed the Euro, A decision that should be IMHO be respected).
But all in all, the Euro did only good things, and im glad europe has it
