Justin's makes completely no sense to me. He was in NSync, NSync was at the top, he was the spotlight of NSync, whats the need of going solo. He was the only member of the group who actually wrote the songs, so if he wanted to change the direction, he could have done it himself.
BSB, on the other hand was on hiatus while the rest of the group got married and made babies and whatever. I can assume Nick would have been bored, and he did it just for the sake of doing something. Not to steal the spotlight or whatever.
Spice Girls, same thing. They'd just finished their tour, two of them needed to take time off to have babies and get married, so naturally, Melanie C was bored as well, and did her own thing. The group then went to split, and they all went solo from there.
Gwen, I'd imagine being in a group/band, you don't have full credibility, and you dont write the songs yourself. So I can see it being greedy, but I also saw it as inevitable with her award winning stints with Moby and Eve.
Beyonce, was inevitable. She's the same as Justin, she can't share the spotlight.
Matthew Good Band, well, basically, the band left, leaving Matthew Good by himself. |
