Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has dropped a hint he would like to play in Spain - if ever he leaves Old Trafford.
That could alert Real Madrid who make no secret of their desire to sign a world class defender.
Ferdinand, the world's most expensive defender, has worked with Real coach Carlos Queiroz, who was Sir Alex Ferguson's assistant at Old Trafford.
Queiroz is well aware of Ferdinand's capabilities and rates him highly.
Real would also take note of Ferdinand's close friendship with David Beckham, who left Old Trafford for the Bernabeu during the summer in a £25m deal. |
