JOHN RITTER, star of "Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter," has died. Details on the cause of his death were not immediately available. He leaves behind his wife actress AMY YASBECK and a daughter, STELLA, who celebrated her fifth birthday on Sept. 11. Ritter also had three children from a previous marriage.
Ritter, the son of country star TEX RITTER, first found fame playing "Jack Tripper" in the '70s series, "Three's Company." Ritter would have turned 55 on Sept. 17.
