Mandy, i agree with what you said, Britney always gets the double standard and i think that's why alot of people say she's slutty cuz you don't hear them saying that about Beyonce and all that... I was thinkin the same thing, i just hope people pay alot of attention on the music and less on her image. But if she does photoshoots like this, i dont think they're gonna pay much attention to the music if you know what i mean. 
I do think my opinion counts but i also don't want Britney to dress that way cuz then my freinds and cousins would bother me all the time. I just want her to fully cloth alot so they can stop bugging me about her and then they can finally have respect for her too. She does loose alot of respect for the kinds of clothes she wears sadly. |
When you do photoshoots...you can show skin and stuff and still be classy with it. I think the RS photoshoot is pretty classy, even though it IS very risqué. There's trashy, and there's classy. Certain artists (that shall remain nameless) are more trashy to me. But everyone has their opinion.
It definitely is a double standard...I can't name one female out there that isn't at least a little provacative. Beyoncé, Ashanti, Christina, even Jessica Simpson now...
I mean, all of them.
My issue is here is just that it seems like this is what Britney wants -- attention for her album. And of course, she'll get it. But I don't think shoots like RS are the way to go. It's like, "Here I am, selling my body ONCE AGAIN." Then again, it IS just a photoshoot and RS is just like that. Blah, it's all complicated but I think you might understand.
It sucks now because I CAN'T defend her anymore...I seriously can't. So all I can do is like what I like and ignore the negativity...which gets hard and annoying...
