I swallow everytime. I think it's rude to spit... especially infront of someone. But every chance I get, I spit... only if I'm positive I won't get caught and embarass myself. It doesn't taste that bad anyway... so.
PS. If you were wondering, I'm talking about plegm from cough. OK?
