there's an old joke that went something like "one day a Buddist died and went to heaven. when he got inside St. Peter welcomed him to eternal happiness. but the Buddist asked 'what is on the other side of that wall?' Peter said "oh that, that's where the Catholics are, they think they are the only one's up here.'"
i don't have a problem with people having other beliefs and religions. and i think it is sad that there are Catholics and Christians out there who do try and force their religion on everyone, it gives the rest of us a bad name and leads to people stereotyping us all into the same group. what i do have a problem with is when people attack my beliefs or go around saying what the Church should and shouldn't change within. sure you can make suggestions but remember that you're not the ultimate decision maker either. |
