Default BSN Premiership Season 2003-2004!!

It's upon us once more ..... a new season of the Premiership!! and with it a new BSN Premiership competition for the 2003-2004 season!

For anyone who's new this is a competition created by Brad and taken over by me when he retired as a member almost a year ago (so the rules were created by him, some additions by me last season and also this season). We've run this competition twice, once last year for the whole season and once the season before for a handful of games. Chris was our first champion with myself taking the crown last season! This year I'm hoping a few more people will join to make this the biggest BSN Premiership so far!

Now down to the system we use for points. I've added a small bouns points section this season, but basically the main points system will be the same one we used last season. For anyone who's new here it is:

Guessing the correct score of one team = 1 point.

Guessing the correct winner of the match = 2 points.

Guessing the correct winner and one teams score = 3 points.

Guessing the correct winner and both teams scores = 4 points.

Guessing a draw correctly = 1 point.

Guessing a draw correctly and the right score = 2 points.

Guessing the loser as the winner, and vice versa = -1 point.

Bonus Points:

Guessing 5 games correctly in one matchday (one matchday = 10 games) 10 points

6 = 12 points, 7 = 14 points, 8 = 16 points, 9 = 18 points and 10 = 20 points!

*One gameday is defined as 10 Premiership games. If a gameday is missed bonus points can't be gained through catch-ups.

In addition to the Premiership fixtures we'll be predicting the FA Cup games (from the 3rd round) and the League Cup games (from the 3rd round). The Champions League has it's own competiton this season, please check out the Champions League thread by Emma for that. Also I'll usually post the fixture lists about a week before the games take place.

The only rule that I have is that you must have your prediction for a game in by the kick-off of that game. Any late predictions will be regarded as invalid. If you miss any predictions because you were ill, lost internet connection or because you were tied up with something more important, then there will be a chance to catch up with UEFA Cup games, or maybe even Euro 2004 qualifiers. If your post is edited after the kick-off, then any games played before then will count as 0.

Hopefully there will be many people taking part this season. Have fun.

First fixture list in 15 days!

(Stuck so that members can see when the new fixtures are posted and when the scores are updated.)
