I don't think Bush was even honestly voted president.
In Florida (where I'm from by the way) Jeb Bush is govenor. In case you don't know thats the presidents brother. During the presidental election Al Gore was the original winner of the state of Florida. Then a few hours later Florida goes back to 'undecided'. A re-count was started because someone apparently thought the count was wrong for some reason. A lot of people weren't sure if they had voted for who they wanted too. I didn't vote but my parents did, the names of all the people who are running were placed on the ballot in a way that was very confusing. The little check boxes were placed kind of inbetween 2 names so you weren't sure if you had placed a vote for the right person.
My mom was telling my how "Bush's name was right at the top, it was practically impossible to vote wrong if you were voting for him."
Jeb Bush is the govenor, I'm fairly sure the way the ballots are designed goes through him first and then they use it. I also find it odd that Bush's name was right up top while Gores name was down towards the bottom.
I think that Jeb (or someone behind him) designed the ballots hoping people would get confused and vote for someone other than Gore. Then after Gore still won they had a re-count and then Bush was the winner.
If Al Gore would of won the Florida electorial votes he would of become president. Florida was the only state to hold a recount
