To follow up on a story from earlier today, as of right now Nathan Jones will indeed be a Smackdown talent.
I have been getting some emails from people asking me if Torrie Wilson will be doing a photo shoot for Playboy magazine. Well, prayers have been answered because she will indeed be doing a pictorial. I just hope that WWE doesn't run into the same problem they did with the last two Divas who posed for Playboy (Chyna and Sable). I don't think they will because Torrie is said to be one of the nicest people in the entire company.
From what I am hearing, Steve Austin's story on why he left WWE in the upcoming Raw magazine will be a "must read" piece. Steve is said to be totally honest about everything that led to him leaving the company. It will be penned by Austin himself. It will be available in the next week or two.
Over on DarkHorizons.com, they are reporting in their rumors section that Vince McMahon has talked to Fox about bringing over Smackdown to their network if UPN goes out of business. All I can say about that is that I haven't heard anything corroborate that story in any way. It sounds odd to me because UPN's contract for Smackdown expires in August and technically, WWE could enter into a deal with any network for the rights to the show at that time. UPN has already said that they will finish this TV season, and also that they have cut their losses in half over the last year, so the unless WWE has already entered into talks to extend their deal with UPN, the long term health of their current host network wouldn't seem to be an issue as to where Smackdown would end up. On the flip side, since FOX largely goes after WWE's demographics, they would make for a good match if a change is needed. Click here to read the story. ... Thanks to everyone who sent that link.
Today's Calgary Sun has a response from Martha Hart concerning the judge's verdict that said that she and/or her lawyer acing fraudulently in their lawsuit against WWE. You can read it by clicking here. ... Thanks to Bill Higdon for sending that along
