I want to add, what ithink should be a classic episode in the history of TV
"Once More With Feeling"
I want the soundrack, but I have the mp3s on my computer.
I think the episode was completely innovative, and wasn't even a special occassion episode like their Halloween ones. It was just used to help further the main season plot, a normal episode in all senses but the singing. "Drawn to the Fire" is amazing, standing on its own as a great ensemble song. Spike's "Rest In Peace" rocks too
Finally "Standing In The Way" from Giles is great and heartfeltly sung.
And ofcourse, another hopeful classic, "Hush". See above for being innovative.
That one was pretty scary on the first watch of it. The Gentlemen were really portrayed as scary and deadly. The surprise standoff between Riley and Buffy at the end was funny
And it ended on a great part. "We need to talk." "Yeah...."
