Shit! I know how much that can hurt. I did that a couple times myself.
Just a little story for ya: I lived in this really old house that had windows that had to be pulled up in order to open them. Anyway, long story short the window got stuck once and I had to shut it and it slammed on my fingers severing the tendon in my right middle finger. I had a split on for 6 weeks which sucked 'cause I'm right handed and it was extremely difficult to write with it.
