my memory is a little foggy, because there was so much going on, but this is how i remember my day..

i had woken up that morning around 6-6:15am (pacific) and went downstairs to turn on the news like usual. i turned on ABC and they were showing live feed from the school President Bush was speaking at. i don't remember exactly exactly how long the camera was on him, as the next thing i remember is seeing a shot of the two towers with smoke coming out of them. i don't remember if i saw the second plane hit on live TV or not...i had tuned in either right before it happened or right after (i was too tired to fully comprehend what was going on, so my memory is a little rusty). my mom came downstairs and we sat watching the TV for the rest of the day, stunned.

hearing all the breaking developments as they happened, as well as seeing the towers fall on live TV, was the single most amazing and horrifying experience i've ever had.

i watched CNN and read newspapers nonstop for days.

it was absolutely crazy. i can't believe i witnessed most of that happening on live TV. it took me a few months to snap out of the post-WTC collapse daze, but i'm still somewhat in a state of shock.
