I remember the day exactly. I live in CT, which is about 20 minutes from NY, and less than an hour away from the WTC. I was at the dorms, sleeping in because i didn't have early class. My cell phone woke me up with my boyfriend telling me to turn on the tv. From that moment, everything went so fast. I made a few phone calls, and then found out school was closed for the rest of the day. The campus went NUTS. It got really empty. People were really quiet. Every door on my floor was open, and all you heard was the echo of endless tv's. We all awaited the President's Speech on tv... we all sat around in shock. A lot of the girls that live in my dorm has parents that worked in the building, so it was a scary day for all of us. |
