Thats not totally true. Its "guided". Meaning, the wrestlers are given an idea of what to do. For example, they are told that during a match they are to do this move, this move, this, that, and this... this person will win by ___ (d/q, submission, pin fall) and what happens between is all up to them, and they should try to fill up xx amount of time. (If you notice a lot of wrestlers have long hair, its like that for a reason... so they can communicate with other wrestlers in the ring with out people knowing!) Same with promos, they are told what the promo should be about, and its up to them to make an impromptu speech.
And back on topic, I think WWE is picking up lately. I too was getting a little distracted from it last year during the WCW thing, but that was because I got confused, there were too many wrestlers that I'd never heard of. I am just a new fan of wrestling, and purely World Wrestling Federation Entertainment fan, I wasn't into the WCW or ECW brands. But I think the storylines are picking up now, and it has an interesting twist
