I smell something... Is it what the Rock is cooking? No, that's not it.

What is that smell? Damn, it's so familiar, I almost have it... yep, it's at the tip of my nose...

Could it be? No it can't... Is what I am smelling the ending years of WCW ALL OVER AGAIN?

I think that is what I am smelling!

And yes that little joke had some seriousness to it. The WWE[F] is doing exactly the samething WCW did towards the ending years there. WWE, instead of building suspence like they did circa 1997 - 2000, they're trying the quick fix it approach. Because Rock makes some big debut one night and lifts the ratings slightly (that didn't even happen) then you think, "Hey we are on track." Well you ain't. When Vince Russo and Ed Ferrea (Two of the leading writers in the WWF that helped bring the change of attitude in 97 which later gave WWF the number one title over WCW in 98 after tyears of battle.) well when they left WWF in the fall of '99 to WCW it was ALL OVER THE NET! The biggest news event in 'rasslin' since the screw job in '97. But would later be exclapsed by the folding of WCW to the WWF. But when they made their writing debute on WCW Nitro, the ratings went from 2.5 to 3.1 in one night! It was big news! WCW made a big turn around in one night, things were looking up for them or so they thought, but only two years later they are bought by the WWF for 8 million dollars.

The WWE[F] needs to think about longterm storylines, start a story now that won't end 'til 10 months for now. That's what won WWF the ratings in'97, building up, they dubted Kane in '97, he was the evil burnt brother of the Undertaker. Kane wanted the Taker dead! Did it happen the next day on Raw? No! It didn't happen until SIX months later on Wrestlemania!

Nowadays, that wouldn't of happened, Brock debut and they instantly try to sell him as this next "Goldberg", they force it down wrestling viewers mouths and they don't like it.

The WWE[F] is at a point right now that can either take them back to the top or they could be the next WCW.
