ST. LOUIS - Lita has three cracks in her neck, a CAT Scan revealed Monday, and she may require surgery.
Initial tests revealed that the former World Wrestling Federation Women's Champion had a herniated disc, but were otherwise inconclusive, according to Federation Senior Vice President for Talent Relations Jim Ross. On Monday, she checked into a St. Louis hospital for further testing. After X-rays were taken, it was determined that she needed a CAT Scan, which revealed three cracks in the C6-C7 area of her vertebrae.
The injury happened earlier this month in Vancouver while Lita filmed an episode of the FOX series "Dark Angel."
Lita was scheduled to receive a more thorough evaluation on Monday from a surgeon in St. Louis. She will probably fly to San Antonio in the next few days to see Dr. Lloyd Youngblood, who has operated on Stone Cold Steve Austin, Chris Benoit and Rhyno. Youngblood may also soon be performing surgery on Scotty 2 Hotty.
Lita could be out of action for several months, but exact recovery time won't be determined until she receives a complete diagnosis. Look for an update on Lita's condition this Friday in the Ross Report.
