Mel-Mel Rox: Pants and JEANS are very different, pants can have no pockets at all and that is what I'm suggesting to him/her/it. You and I may think that making a simple pair of pants are easy. but for her because she has had NO experience it would be hard. In my opinion tops are the easiest to make and then pants.
Denim I think is one of the easiest materials to sew on, but it isn't the cheapest. depending on the length of your legs, it can be 1.5m or however many yards to you people, and per metre is about 15dollars to get a decent piece of denim. and the buttons on the jeans aren't cheap either, the double needle is about 6dollars, compared to the ballpoint needles that you can get at supermarkets at about 2dollars for a pack of 5. |
