A Scottish farmer has dyed his sheep red to cheer up gloomy motorists.
Andrew Jack, from West Lothian, decided spraying the 54 sheep on the Pyramid Hills by the M8 motorway would keep people stuck in traffic jams entertained.
He said: "The sheep are causing quite a stir. We used a sheep spray, but it was totally animal-friendly and would not do the sheep any harm.
"We will leave them like that until it is time to shear their coats off."
The idea is part of the M8 Art project, which creates artistic talking-points along the motorway connecting Glasgow and Edinburgh.
The M8 was voted the second worst road in the UK, due to its long tailbacks.
