No, turning your back on people, that's nice. Tell me have you ever worked with drug addicts? Have you ever attempted to get kids off of drugs? No, you lose respect and turn your back and let those poor kids ruin the rest of their lives because you seem to feel you're better than them?
Well. I have helped MORE THAN ONE CHILD to get drugs OUT OF THEIR LIVES. What have YOU done? Trying to tell me about nice? If I can help a kid off of drugs, then "poor little" Ashleigh really doesn't need a "poor little" hug for compassion only because Stinger went and confronted her with the truth since she claims she can't be helped. Back in the day when my username still reflected my personality I would have said that I would lose respect for lazy people trying to be helpless poor little victims. But instead, "losing respect" is no longer part of my vocabulary and I still offer Ashleigh my help if some day she decides she still wants it. Really no need to tell me about nice. Ashleigh's problem is minor and very common compared to what else is out there. That's why it's not hard to solve with some willpower.
I realize I am cruel now, but the nicer approaches don't get to her, I already tried that. So I could turn my back on her and let her screw herself up more and stop caring like most people would do. But I'm of a slightly different breed. Doesn't take away the fact that I end up low on options, yes. When a hammer is your only tool, every problem seems like a nail. And I'm hammering nails right now.
