Of course beer isn't the only way to clean your kidneys, but all I'm trying to point out with that is that beer is not evil no matter how many labels the conservative society tries to put on it. It is your choice to choose to stay away from it, nothing wrong with that. And the reasons you have for that are yours alone. Let them remain yours alone too, otherwise people like me come around and put some facts of their own on the table.
And just to make clear, because you're still using the term drugs with all it's stigma, and I'm sitting here defending it, I do not justify the use of all drugs. There are of course, those who really aren't going about their business in the most intelligent ways. But that doesn't mean everyone is. |
I mean, I don't really consider beer an "evil" like the conservative society it does. Even in the Qur'an it mentions that beer has benefits and as a Muslim, I take the Qur'an and Sunnah (the actions and sayings of the Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him)) as how I should live my life, and just to sum it all up, here's a verse from the Qur'an:
"They ask you about intoxicants and gambling: say, 'In them there is a gross sin, and some benefits for the people. But their sinfulness far outweighs their benefit.'" (Qur'an 2:219)
Just to show you where i'm coming from.

Well, I guess we both took it different ways, which I could understand. But, you quoted a completely different sentence from me so I was thrown off subject by far.

I would interpret that as saying, you're smart when you don't ever drink, and you're not when you do. Correct me if that's not so. I hope it's not so, cause I do the occasionall drink too and I wanna be among the smart people dammit! |
LOL! I guess we both can take that in different ways, I guess. No, by far I wasn't saying that whoever uses alcohol is stupid, because in the end, I would be the idiot for saying that. What I meant was that when it comes down to drinking and stuff like that, people should do it responsibly. When something intoxicates you to the point where you lose complete realization of thought, then I don't consider that being responsible.

For those who think it's completely "distasteful" for her acting like that, let alone putting it on the DVD, you're letting Britney Spears affect you. It shouldn't matter what this one person does, when there are millions out there doing much worse than her (by the way - where's the solid evidence she's doing something wrong?). I say, until she does something to you, personally, you shouldn't let it bother you. I mean, it's Britney Spears. She's a singer/performer. She's not your best friend, she's not your parent, she's not your neighbor. She put that footage on there for the fans who like her, who enjoy her. Not for naysayers who critique every move of hers. |
If i'm not mistaken, the initial reason Britney put out this whole "Chaotic" thing wasn't for sheer entertainment, but also to show people the "real" Britney. I sure as hell remember her saying that. I don't agree with you though saying that "Britney Spears is affecting you". In the end of it all, I couldn't care less about what the heck she does. I didn't leave the computer even giving a second thought to it, I don't care that much. And I know I don't critique every move she does.
