Yeah, you get used to it. Life is too much fun to take so serious all the time. We should let people do their thing. I do, as well as allowing myself to do my thing. So what someone "loses respect" for something I might do to have a good time. It'll be their drama then. I'm not here on this earth to score points with people. I'm here to amuse myself.
