8 races in and Alonso has dropped only 6 points out of 80! Another dominating performance today moves his tally of race wins to 5 out of 8, and leaves him on target for the biggest points haul in F1 history! ..but there are 10 more races 'Togo'.

Raikkonen looked like he was on course for 2nd place, until M.Schumacher popped a few fast laps out of the bag during the 2nd pit-stops. The gap between Alonso and M.Schumacher increases to 23 points .. but will it grow or decrease after Canada and USA!? Ferrari were supposed to be very quick here today, but 2nd and 5th didn't suggest that at all.. I expect 2 more close battles between the top 3 teams when F1 moves over to North America for 2 weeks.

BMW Sauber had a great weekend! 7th for Heidfeld and 8th for Villeneuve. A nice improvement for them after a not-so-good Monaco. Williams managed to finish 9th with Rosberg, but that is the worst place in F1.. Webber was unfortunate when R.Schumacher collided with him - an accident which was caused by Speed.

Honda started from 6th with Barrichello, but slipped back to 10th.. and Button had no luck, with his engine failing after a promising start. Red Bull were average, but they could only realistically go backwards after a podium in Monaco.
