The Grand Slam, which is so precious to Roger Federer, 'cause it's the only one he hasn't won yet. Today he played his 1st Round match against Hartfield, a player from Argentina. As expected, a difficult first opponent. Federer came behind 3-0 in the first set, but took it with 7-5 in the end.
The 2nd set brought us a tie-break and the 3rd set was for Federer as well. Straight sets for the man from Switzerland, but it was tough.
Tommy Robredo (seed #7) advances as well. I'm curious to see Nalbandian & Nadal.
Marat Safin's little sister, Safina, is an outsider to look out for. She had a fantastic preparation in Rome where she defeated both Dementieva & Clijsters!
She won her 1st Round match with 6-3 and 7-5 from Zvonareva.
