From a Muslim standpoint, it's because of God that blood flows through our veins every second, it's because of God that our heart is beating every beat it does. We owe so much to God, we should be focusing on other things rather than how God came about. I think there is a bigger picture than that because in truth, we'll never know how God came about, and from an Islamic position, there's much more to focus on than that.
Agreed with that standpoint entirely, however I won't say we'll never find out how God came about (assuming there is one -- for those picky enough to mention such is bull), because you'll never know what you'll find on the other side. But in case we do find out, I'm also sure it'll only be a side issue to a much bigger picture.

From my standpoint, we're here to allow our souls to grow by collecting life experience. And what we're supposed to do with that will be revealed in the afterlife (yes, yes -- if such exists you picky bastards )
