Hey guys! 2 more matches have been added to the card for this weekend, for Saturday Night's Main Event - The Boogeyman vs. Booker T and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. JBL in a Beer Drinking Contest. Here's the latest on both matches -

Boogeyman vs. Booker T
March 18th, 2006

For weeks now, Booker T and his wife Sharmell have been terrorized by SmackDown’s most bizarre Superstar – Boogeyman. Everywhere Booker T and Sharmell go, the worm-eating Boogeyman appears to follow.

On the Feb. 10 edition of SmackDown, Booker T was out to provide some commentary for the United States Championship Fatal Fourway No. 1 Contender Match. Booker T was still the U.S. Champion at the time, so he got a bird’s eye view at who his next challenger would be. After witnessing Chris Benoit win the match, Booker T tried to get out of his title defense at No Way Out. Theodore Long refused to grant his wish, so an angry Booker T went to his car, ready to leave. But when he opened up the trunk of his car, he and Sharmell shrieked out in terror as it was filled with thousands of worms. Where there are worms, Boogeyman is surely right around the corner.

Then on the Feb. 24 edition of SmackDown, Booker T and Sharmell were out for commentary once again. The Dicks were already in the ring and found out they would be in a Handicap Match. Realizing they would have the numbers advantage, they were ecstatic – until they realized they would be facing Boogeyman. After making short work of The Dicks, Boogeyman came down to the announce table, scaring off Booker T and Sharmell. Before Boogeyman left, though, he covered the entire SmackDown announce table in worms.

Boogeyman didn’t stop there, though. Booker T went one on one with Tatanka on the March 3 edition of SmackDown. Booker T seemed to have things going his way, but after he connected with a Scissors Kick, Boogeyman’s music hit, distracting Booker. Boogeyman entered through the crowd and crept up on an unsuspecting Sharmell who was at the announce table. Booker and Sharmell quickly retreated as Boogeyman munched on some more worms.

Booker T and Sharmell had enough of Boogeyman. They wanted him to be stopped. So, they came to the ring one week later with a bag full of what they said was hate mail directed towards Boogeyman. They said they received mail from the NAACP, PETA, Worm Digest and the President’s Council on Physical Fitness. Booker demanded that Theodore Long do something about the bizarre Boogeyman. Theodore Long appeared on the Titan Tron and said that Booker would have to take care of business on his own. He announced that at Saturday Night’s Main Event it would be Booker T vs. Boogeyman.

Can Booker T finally stop Boogeyman and restore some normalcy to his life? Or will the worm-obsessed monster continue to haunt Booker T and his lovely wife? Watch Saturday Night’s Main Event March 18 at 8/7 CT on NBC to find out.

Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. JBL
March 18th, 2006

Stone Cold Steve Austin hadn’t been heard from since October. But the Texas Rattlesnake finally broke his silence March 7 in an interview with WWE.com. He touched on several things ranging from his latest projects, his upcoming movie and inducting Bret “Hit Man” Hart into the WWE Hall of Fame on April 1. But a large portion of the interview centered around the greatest wrestlers ever to come out of the Lonestar state – Texas.

Who better to talk about Texas wrestling than the Texas Rattlesnake himself? Stone Cold talked about a wide array of Texans including Dusty Rhodes, The Funks, Eddie Guerrero and even current WWE Superstar Shawn Michaels. When asked about JBL, however, Stone Cold gave him credit for being from Texas, but that was where the compliments ended.

Needless to say this infuriated the self-proclaimed Wrestling God, and he made it known on the March 10 edition of SmackDown. JBL came to the ring and called out Stone Cold. The media maven said that he was a better wrestler, a better entertainer and a bigger draw than Stone Cold ever was. He then proceeded to challenged Stone Cold to a Beer Drinking Contest for Saturday Night’s Main Event.

It’s clear that JBL wants to beat the Texas Rattlesnake at his own game. Stone Cold is known for celebrating with a couple…well more than a couple…beers practically every time he comes to the ring. But JBL is no slouch when it comes to kickin’ back a few, either. Along with his tag team partner at the time, Faarooq, JBL used to be routinely seen drinking a beer and smoking a cigar backstage or at a local watering hole. The APA even became known for their signature match – the Barroom Brawl.

That was then, though, and this is now. JBL has turned over a new leaf and has cleaned up his image. But even though he now lives in New York, JBL is still a Texan and still enjoys beer. So, will JBL be able to go back to his roots and defeat Stone Cold at his own game? Or will the Texas Rattlesnake make a triumphant return at Saturday Night’s Main Event and drink like he’s never drank before? Tune in to Saturday Night’s Main Event, March 18 at 8/7 CT on NBC.
