I'll be honest here. I will never claim to be the world's biggest Edge fan. I can't say I've followed him his whole career and been behind him every step of the way. But ever since he became a singles wrestler, I've been a fan of his, plain and simple. You can look into his eyes and you can KNOW that all he wants in the world is to be the WWE Champion. We got our first taste of that in Fall 2004.

I never saw this coming. WWE did an amazing job with this swerve. Promoting two different matches (Flair/Edge and the Chamber) to distract us from the big story at the end of the night that we'll all be talking about for a long time. Edge and Cena have barely even acknowledged eachother's existences since being on the same show.

And I figured Edge would cash in his money in the bank either after the Chamber or at WrestleMania. And by after the chamber, I always pictured it as the next night on RAW. I never imagined he would do it immediately after the Chamber match ended.

This is awesome! I'm a fan of Cena, and he had a great run. But I am so happy for Edge because I can honestly tell how much this means to him. And if you don't believe it, look back to his celebration and look at his eyes (try to forget the horrible terrible kissing with Lita) and look at the tears welling up.

This is history. And I am so glad I got to watch it.

Congratulations to Edge because he damn sure deserves it.
