Why do people start smoking? Most of the times people start at the age when they're on high school. A friend smokes or starts smoking and tells you to smoke along. He/she doesn't want to leave behind and before you know it, the person's smoking as well. Everyone can make up their own mind whether they want to light a cigarette or not.
My mother smokes and honestly, I'm not thrilled about that at all! My sister and I told her enough times that we don't like it, but she doesn't seem to do anything with our comments. At least, in the beginning she didn't. In the summer, when the temperature's good, she does smoke outside, but during the winter (now!) she stays inside.
Passive smoking can be unhealthy as well.
