I can be a bit harsh with my wording when it comes to smokers, but then some of them can be so inconsiderate to themselves and the people around them that I realise its not so harsh.

I find smoke can irritate me for the same reason Liz. I just dislike being around smoke for that any many other reasons.
I've actually got one roommate who smokes at University, but she is really considerate and always goes out back to do it. Actually, she's trying to quite right now. Almost 2 weeks without a cigarette for her!
