I'm finally getting into reading.
Last week, a coworker told me about this really interesting book she read, and I ended up buying it on Friday night, and I haven't been able to put it down. I've tried several times to get into reading, but I end up losing interest about 100 pages in. This time, forget it... I'm just sailing through it, only stopping when I'm pulled away by a more pressing matter.
The book is called "From The Corner Of His Eye" and it's by Dean Koontz. It's a really exciting book. I'm not too far in (I'm not a very fast reader) but already so much has happened.
I guess the best way to describe it is that it's following the life of a Sociopath who spontaneously murders his wife while he's so deeply in love with her for no apparent reason, and that's sort of intermingled with two other stories, one about a pregnant woman who gets in a car accident, and the other about young girl who was raped and becomes pregnant.
I didn't spoiler tag those because, like I said, I'm not very far into the book, so I'm not exactly giving away the story. This all happens in the introduction sequences, basically.
There seems to be a connection between each of the stories, but I'm not far enough into the story to figure out exactly how. But, pick it up, because it seems to be very promising. |
