Wow, the hurricane isn't even hitting us but we're getting the winds. The storm surge/waves have already destroyed seven homes along the beach in Walton County, FL (Destin, Fort Walton Beach). I took some pictures of the waves and the surf, and some of the flooding occuring in a place where it ain't even raining, here in Panama City Beach! Wow. This is nutty. According to the Weather Channel, we're going to get most of the storm surge and wave activity, moreso than New Orleans & Biloxi, where the hurricane is predicted to hit in just hours. |
