Hurricane Katrina is the absolute worst case scenario. Honestly, I never thought I would see it in my lifetime. This is Hurricane Camille II.

If the hurricane does not weaken before landfall, thousands are likely to die in New Orleans. The city itself will be gone, not destroyed, but GONE. And no this is not drama queening. The New Orleans coroner always has 10,000 body bags on hand.

I just hope that I don't lose my house in all of this since the current track has the eye near me. THANK GOD my mom decided to evacuate today because I didn't want to leave without her.

There are going to be lots of people hurting. Louisiana preparation always includes the words "piss" and "poor". The people of Mississippi are going to get the brunt of it as well.

It seems so surreal. Friday I was at a bar without a care in the world, today I may leave my house for the last time. What will be even more fun will be sneaking three cats in a hotel room.

I'm bringing my dad's old laptop and digital camera so i'll upload the pictures if I take any once i'm able to get back home.
