That's an interpretation by a madman. I don't believe that is what the Qur’an itself says. The Islam is a peaceful religion. It's just that people like Bin Laden give it a bad name.
Not only that, but if you do what pretty much every non-believer does (blame it on the religion), and you go ahead and start insulting the Islam because of this, Bin Laden will turn around to the innocent people who are peaceful Muslims who didn't do a thing wrong, and he will show them what Americans and Europeans say about their religion. As you may know, insulting religion is a serious offense in the Islam. And that's how he manipulates them into thinking that we suck. And THAT's what this is all about.
One thing I believe our society should learn, is to think before we speak. Sometimes freedom of expression is taken a bit too literally here, and people who don't deserve it will be offended. Respect is important, and I don't like how easily people forget because they start thinking about their own asses a little too much.
