Well there will always be irregularities in elections. In New Orleans, people waited 9 hours to vote on election day. There weren't enough machines because usually the turnout isn't so big. The best way to deter any possible fraud would be to have an electronic machine that prints a paper receipt of the transaction. That way if there is a discrepancy you can compare the hardcopy with the final tally. |
