Seeing as how the cheaper brands yielded more unpopped kernels, it sounds as though it may have something to do with the quality of the corn used...if that's right, then all the manufacturers would have to do would be to select a higher grade to give their customers more for their money...hence a lower percentage of unpopped kernels
