I don't believe people actually "hate" other people for the way they're built. And if they do, that's an issue.
When I say I like curves - that's me. Everyone has a preference.
Yes there are people that are naturally VERY skinny. I know people that eat like mad cows and they're the size of a toothpick. That's the way they were made and they can't help it.
I'm not referring to those people. I'm referring to girls that purposely want to lose weight because they think the way they look isn't good enough. Granted, we all have flaws and we all want to strive to be better. But it hits a point sometimes when it's overboard and I don't think it looks healthy.
Some celebrities have lost weight they didn't NEED TO - my opinion of course. They were fine the way they were. And now they look unhealthy - again, in my opinion. If you lose too much, it can look bad...but of course, being overweight looks bad too right?
The media often praises people when they lose weight. That is why thin people aren't often the "bad guy." It's the people who gain weight (Britney for example...what, did she gain 5 pounds?) that are picked apart.
This is all jumbled and I don't know if I'm making sense now. The bottom line is that Jess I understand your point. But I'm not talking about the naturally thin people. You can't help the way you're built. I just hate how so many girls feel they need to be smaller and smaller and smaller because they don't think they're good enough - when they are. Maybe I take it a little more personally because one of my best friends has major self-image issues and it just sucks.
