Henman!
He's just completed his Quarter-Final tie against Dominik Hrbaty after rain-delays caused the match to be abandonded last night with Henman 2 sets up and 3 games away from the Semis.
The first set was very comfortable for Henman - 6-1. The second set proved to be more challenging as Hrbaty held his service until near the end of the set, when Henman broke to take it 7-5. The 3rd was going the way of Henman at first. He was a break up, but then slipped and was broken for the first time in the match. He was serving to make it 5-5 when the rain started to fall..
Today Hrbaty started well. He took the 3rd set 7-5, but was then quickly outclassed by Henman as he had been in the first set. Henman won the set 6-2 and took his place in the Semi-Finals .. up against either Federer or Agassi (who were also affected by rain delays). Federer leads 2-1 in that match at the beginning of the 4th set.
The other men's Quarter-Finals: Haas .v. Hewitt & Johansson .v. Roddick
Serena Williams is out!
The Williams sisters definitely aren't the force they once used to be, but it can't be denied that the umpire had an influence on this one. She called a winner from Serena out, when it was sooo obviously in - which ended up giving Capriati a break and set her up for a comeback in the match. All credit to Capriati for playing well, but I wonder if the result would have been different had Serena's winner been called in.
Women's Semi-Finals: Kuznetsova .v. Davenport & Capriati .v. Dementieva.
