I was taught different from you obviously. Not everyone of one faith believes exactly the same.

Actually, a Christian is supposed to act in the manner of Christ, at least as much as possible. They don't always, but that is because they are human too, hence they sin as well.

No, you don't have to be in a cult to kill someone but you DO have to have motive somewhere or else some sort of mental insanity, if there was no motive. That has nothing to do with Christianity and can happen with a person from any religion or no religion at all.
I mentioned the mental insanity thing earlier...but there are people who kill in the name of their religon. If you look at the Islamic extremesist, they kill because of their religion, they sacrifice themselves and the lives of innocent people around them. They may not have mental disorders, but they believe in their faith so strongly that they believe what they're doing is right. Who are we to call them sinners when to them, they were just following their faith?

Also, funny you should say they were from no sort of "weird religion" because many Christians view Catholicism as corrupted and, actually, a weird religion! Not all, of course. Also, how is a priest more perfect than anyone else? A preist is worth no more and no less than any other person. A common man or woman or child could be holier than a priest--it is what is in the heart that counts, rather than what is on the outside.
When I said "weird religion" I was referring to the cults you mentioned. And a priest is different than any other person in my opinion because they have taken the ultimate expression of their faith by becoming a preist, someone in the chruch, and teaching the word of God to others and people look to them for guidance. It's nice to think that it's what on the inside that counts, but that's not the way our world works and you know it.
