If you do that, then you've just increased the roach population by about a hundred or so over a very short amount of time---that's just one more roach which can breed with the rest, and they have large amounts of offspring.
They are called pests for a reason. As far as I am concerned, as long as they stay outside, fine. Once they come in the house, if I catch them, I kill them because I don't want more of them. If you let it go, you'll soon find MANY more.
I do, however, find it admirable that you don't kill anything. Does this mean you are also a vegetarian? ...otherwise you eat animals which other people have killed.
