hey, i saw it last night too, for my mom's birthday!

now, i was a really big fan of the book, (i read it three times) so i was expecting to be dissappointed with the movie (like i was with A Walk to Remember). But i wasn't dissappointed at all. i think the movie was almost a perfect compliment to the book. it showed how they acted together and things they would have done when they were teenagers (like her putting icecream on his face and kissing it off), which i really appreciated because the book doesn't mention much about how they were when they were that young and in love.

i loved both ryan gosling's character and rachel mcadams' character. i thought they were perfectly cast in their respective parts. now i want to get the soundtrack because i loved the 1940-ish music in the film like Billie Holiday and Duke Ellington, and I can't wait for the movie to come out dvd.

sigh....it was just an overall good movie.

the only part i didn't like was
Spoiler!
at the end of the movie, when Allie and Noah died in each others' arms, i thought it ended awkwardly....like it shot from them in the bed to the birds flying over the water to the credits to quickly.

...but that is just being nitpicky....it's not that big off a deal.

alrighty, that is my makeshift review.
