The other day my mom asked me why it was that a show like Nip/Tuck on FX was able to use profanity and sex to readily in their shows when other channels such as NBC or CBS, etc, couldn't?
My thinking was that it was because everyone gets NBC and the like with their standard cable packages, but for channels like FX you usually need to pay a higher price and get an extended package and because of that different rules were enforced on them? If that makes sense. I don't know if I'm right or not, I was just totally guessing. But does anyone know why this is? |
