The voting thing is pointless because it's way too obvious who's going to make it onto the next round. MTV did that on purpose. |
I think its for obvious reasons. If you put Britney up agaisnt Usher and Usher were to win, then Britney wouldn't be included in the finals, and that would make a LOT of people unhappy. But, if they were to skip the entire process of the playoffs, then it wouldn't exactly be 'viewers choice' now would it? It's a lose-lose situation either way for MTV, so this is the way they have to do it.
