That's what it is to me. |
It's not religion that you hate. It's the tainted versions of it that you dislike, or hate. Religion, the true definition of the word, only terrorists and satanic people would hate. True religion stands for peace, it stands for what Emma pretty much said. Embracing the positives in human society, and living around the bad things. Acceptance. Open mindness. Harmony, heh.
All that is also written in that bible. It contains so many messages. Good things. Wise things. If you take away all the supersticious things and the stories and stuff, what's left is a guide to a better life. Honestly.
Not all in it is perfect. I've said that the bible is passed on from generation to generation. From human to human. Humans aren't perfect. So not everything in the bible is perfect either. It makes perfect sense. No pun intended
People make religion such a big deal, but it's not. They say you can't argue about religion cause nobody will listen. That's incorrect. You can't argue about it cause it's a belief. All you can do is accept it, or make a fuss out of things.
Many people lack the ability to be open minded enough. And that's where it all goes wrong.
It's a devil's trait, heh. Me me me. God is about everyone. Devil is about me me me. That's the reason why there's a devil in all of us. The trick is to stand above it, and act in the way that is right. THAT's what religion is originally for, I do believe. But somewhere along the lines, someone messed up. And created their own religion, based on their own interpretations. And called it religion. Osama incarnated. And THAT is what you hate. Religion, true religion, is peaceful.
From Jeremy's post, taken from the bible:
"We live in a world of opposites, a struggle between two contending forces and this is dramatically reinforced in Deuteronomy: "As the heavens and earth are My witness, I have given you life and death, a blessing and a curse; and you are to choose life so that you and your descendents will live."
To me it essentially says that humans have good and bad sides. To live life the best way you can possibly do it, is to choose for the good side, and learn to live around the bad one. The training to do that, THAT is what a good religion does. That IS religion. THAT is a good world. THAT is why I find the bible is a very special artifact, and not just another book. It stands for the code to ultimate peace.
Some say the bible is holy, some say it is not. I say it was intended to be holy (as in flawless and 100% good), but imperfected by a bunch of humans throughout history. It has to be. That explains everything, from both sides.
I guess I just mean that when you say you hate religion,
I know what you mean. But Common Joe who knows the true definition of religion like me, but doesn't know you, will think you're a Satanist or what. All against that what stands for peace. I post this in hopes that Common Joe will read it, and not feel offended by you, and hopefully also fulfill my job as big evil admin, and prevent someone from getting upset and lashing out at you.
