The situations that I usually end up dealing with require me to apply the following mottos I live by:
"Everything happens for a reason." -- I always want to know why. Always. Calculate stuff and it really does end up making sense, as already mentioned in the thread.
"If you don't expect the world out of things, you'll rarely end up disappointed." -- Is one I thought up myself several years ago when I discovered that things can go wrong so easely, if you factor in that possibility more often, disappointment isn't as great. Not everybody likes this one though.
"Respect those who respect you and screw the rest." -- I like to apply this one a lot in the present time. I don't like wasting my time and energy on people who aren't worth it.
"Every human being deserves respect.. at first." -- Goes hand in hand with the one above, I believe in treating every person with respect, until they decide otherwise.
"Patience is a virtue." -- Patience is one of my best friends. It has brought me so much happiness over the years, without patience, I'd be nowhere.
Those are the most important ones for me. |
