BTW, a little sidenote. The beatings and the gore and the violence just goes to show what Jesus did for all of us, to take away our sin he went through hellfire and brimstone. He didn't have an easy trip to the cross. He took the whole beating, instead of wimping out. Jesus will always be the most attractive Person (though, it's obvious He was more than a person) to me, and nobody could take His place.
Plus, to those that say that Jesus isn't the Son of God - no HUMAN could take that beating. No HUMAN could live for that long and not react with vengence, but ask God to forgive the people giving him the beating. It wasn't once He asked, but repeatedly.
I knew this movie wouldn't let me down, because God is alive and can demonstrate how to make a great movie more than just a movie. He was there, He was on the set. God broke my expectations. That is how He will always do it, especially if something is in His will to happen. |
