I really don't think Serena can be back to her championship form. She might say this to motivate herself and get over all of her recent setbacks. It would be shocking if she would be back already to championship form as she hasn't played a single game in more than half a year ...
I read in the newspaper that Venus was spreading the word that she was feeling fantastic nad in great conditional form, then a few days later she gets eliminated by Kuznetsova (not the strongest of opponents).
With Venus out of the Dubai tournament, there's not much competition left for Justine Henin.
I'm afraid no matter what both Serena and Venus say, they still have a long way to go in order to regain their old form. Something which is completely natural if you've been out for such a long period. They can't rush things right now and should try not to overrate themselves and especially their bodies. They should slowly work towards their comeback and their best form. You first have to walk if you want to run! |
